Wireless Blockage Monitor
IAS’ Wireless Blockage Monitor is an acoustic-based blockage monitoring solution that provides quick and accurate notification of blockages anywhere in the drill. While it is priced in a similar fashion to competitive offerings, the system provides an advantage over competitive systems in the following areas:
- Interface Simplicity – IAS’ blockage monitor is EASY to use. One screen contains all the information you need to run the monitor, showing which run on specific manifolds are blocked as soon as a blockage occurs.
- Interface Utility – the iPad interface provides more utility than other in-cab monitoring solutions, allowing customers to use the display for personal computing needs.
- System Installation – The system is easy to install and configure, calibrating itself with the click of a button.
- System Reliability – Wireless interface between Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and display results in a system with significantly fewer wires than optical and electromechanical systems, resulting in fewer wire-related service issues.
The Wireless Blockage Monitor is currently offered as an all-run blockage option on Amity drills and will be offered as an aftermarket option for other manufacturer’s drills as well.
Update – 1/23/12 – IAS is pleased to announce that it has added new functionality to the Wireless Blockage Monitor. These new capabilities allow the system to monitor the flow of different product types on a single seeder, allowing users with double shoot configurations on their air seeders to monitor both seed and fertilizer simultaneously.
